mondrian and lines and primary colors
Kindergarten learned about the artist Piet Mondrian and his artwork. They observed that he uses black lines to divide up his shapes and that he uses the primary colors and squares and rectangles. They then made their black lines using a piece of cardboard that they dipped in black paint to make their lines, squares and rectangles. They then cut out at least two squares and rectangles of each of the primary colors and arranged within their black lines to make a composition that is inspired by the artist.
