mixed up chameleon
Kindergarten first learned about color, the primary colors, secondary colors and the importance of color. We started with the book ”Mix it up” and then did a color mixing activity that involved mixing the primary colors to make the secondary colors. We then talked about how Chameleons are special because they can change color with their environment, followed along with the book ”The Mixed Up Chameleon”. They then created their own ”mixed up chameleons”. We started by drawing a chameleon together step by step, talking about and adding texture and color. They added color with oil pastel and then liquid watercolors. The last step was adding texting to the background using texture rubbing plates and crayons.
