line and shape monster
Kindergarten continued to learn about lines and how to use lines to make shapes. We started by reading the book “Lines that Wiggle” and I had students point out the different types of line as we read the book. They then had to draw at least 5 different types of line on their paper using a sharpie; they added texture to their background with texture rubbing plates and flat crayons. They then had to paint a using two colors to make a pattern. This is the background for their monster face. We then read the book “Monsters love Color” and discussed how we need lines to make shapes. They then had to draw and cut out shapes to make their monster face. Check out these creative, crazy monsters!
